This project, titled “OBJECTS, MUSEUMS, AND EXPERIENCES,” is a social responsibility initiative with the main objective of supporting the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 10-12 who are under protection and care. It aims to achieve this through museum-based activities, increasing their awareness of cultural heritage, and contributing to their social participation.

Accordingly, the project aims for children to experience the functioning of museums through the Ankara Toy Museum , and to become familiar with processes such as collection acquisition, inventory, conservation, and exhibition. The goal is for participants to recognize cultural values, establish a connection with the past, and develop an awareness of passing cultural heritage on to future generations.

The project plans to strengthen children’s empathy, critical thinking, cultural heritage awareness, and self-expression skills through creative drama, museum education, and fine arts activities. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the children’s emotional well-being, support their social integration, and reinforce their sense of belonging.

Through the collaboration between the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and Ankara University, the project seeks to increase access to cultural life for disadvantaged groups and to develop a sustainable social responsibility model. The project, which will begin in November 2025, is supported by the Departments of Basic Art Education, Museology, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties, and Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts.
